Conferences


SKARBEK University organizes or co-organizes conferences and seminars. First conference took place in 1997 and was devoted to ‘Emerging Capital Markets’. The papers were presented to the public by the representatives of important financial institutions and Polish Ministry of Labour as well as by the foreign scholars from the Great Britain and the United States and by the professors of SKARBEK University.

  • International conference ‘Global Financial Markets Equilibrium’ with the presence of professor Merton Miller (1998)
  • International conference with the presence of the representatives of the Government for Negotiations with the European Union and of the Committee of European Integration titled: ‘EU Internal Integration – Challenges for Poland’ (1999)
  • Conference ‘Non-European Cultures and Globalization (Bialobrzegi, 2000) in cooperation with Department for Studies on Non-European Countries of Polish Academy of Sciences
  • Seminar ‘Current Problems in Polish Economic Policy’ and promotion of the book of prof. Stefan Kurowski ‘From October Till August – My Quarter Century of Discussion on Economy’ (2001)
  • International seminar ‘European Union and Labour Market for the universities’ Future Graduates’
  • Seminar ‘Managing and Projecting Internet Applications in Microsoft.NET Technology’ organized together with Microsoft Company (2002)
  • Workshops on programming and projecting applications with usage of technological tools of Microsoft VisualStudio.NET (2002)
  • Lecture of Vincent Kaminski, PhD from the Enron Company from Houston, USA: ‘Financial Crisis Management in Corporations on the Example of Choosing Firms’ (2002)
  • International conference ‘Identity and Globalization. Problems, Examples, Contexts’ (2002) in cooperation with Department for Studies on Non-European Countries of Polish Academy of Sciences
  • International conference ‘Europe and its Fifth Enlargement: European Union for the Future’ (2002); lead by Ministry Mr. Jan Kułakowski and Ms. Maria Dunin-Wąsowicz under the patronage of Minister for European Affairs, Ms. Danuta Hübner
  • Polish-Egyptian seminar ‘System Changes in the Age of globalization: Culture, Society and Economy’ with the participation of the representatives of the science and business from both countries
